Call to Worship - Ginny Ellis
Give thanks to the Lord, call on God’s name;
Make known among the nations what God has done.
Sing to God, sing praise to our God; tell of all God's wonderful acts.
Glory in God’s holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Hymn # 301: “Let Us Build a House” TWO OAKS
Call to Reconciliation - Mary-Linda Armacost
Prayer for Forgiveness - Mary-Linda Armacost
God of all Creation, of all people and nations, of all that is, our hearts break when we think of the brokenness around us: poverty, sickness, hunger, grief, injustice. With sorrow we think of war and violence in our communities and in your world. As we pray in this place, help each of us to ponder who we are and what we can do to change the world we live in, or to change the corner of that world where we might have a role to play. Give us hearts for courage, holding hope for reconciliation, forgiveness and peace, today and in all the days to come, as we follow the Prince of Peace.
Assurance of Forgiveness - Mary-Linda Armacost
You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people.
Once we were no people but now we are God's people.
Once we had not received mercy, but now we have received mercy.
Friends, believe the Good News.
In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
Passing the Peace - Mary-Linda Armacost
The peace of Christ be with you. / And also with you.
*Response #288: “Spirit of the Living God” LIVING GOD
