Call to Worship - Ginny Ellis

Blessed are they who call on the name of the Lord.

God is good and welcomes all who call upon His name.

Let us sing our praise and join in the fellowship of faith.

Blessed be the name of the Lord!

Hymn #310: “I Love Thy Kingdom, Lord” ST. THOMAS

Call to Reconciliation - Robin Lyle

Prayer for Forgiveness - Robin Lyle

We rejoice in the light that shines in the darkness, but we remember how much more light is needed. There is so much yet to be done for us and by us:

Right Side: So much justice yet to be established.

Left Side: So much pain yet to be healed,

Right Side: So much peace yet to be realized,

Left Side: So much love yet to pour forth.

Leader: Let us join in unison as we pray:

All: O God, let the peace and power of your Spirit renew and lead us! Touch with your sustaining presence all those in deep need of your care -- those who wander in depression and confusion, those afraid of the public voices raised against them, those who despair out of loneliness and fear, those who struggle for justice and peace, those who live with hope for the new day not yet seen. Through your Spirit and your people, come and make all things new, O God, God of transforming power and love! In the name of the Savior, Amen.

Assurance of Forgiveness - Robin Lyle

You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people.

Once we were no people but now we are God's people.

Once we had not received mercy, but now we have received mercy.

Friends, believe the Good News.

In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

Passing the Peace - Robin Lyle

The peace of Christ be with you. / And also with you.

A Response of Commitment - Ginny Ellis

Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We can claim that hope, that promise for all God's people.

Let’s commit ourselves as a church

to treat each one we meet with the love and joy and welcome of God.

After all, We seek to be a welcoming beacon of Christ’s love

So all people may experience God’s beloved community

Through connection, healing, and renewal.

May it be so. Thanks be to God.
