Call to Worship - Ginny Ellis

I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry.

The Lord put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.

Many will see and believe.

And put their trust in the Lord.

Processional Hymn #157: “I Danced in the Morning” LORD OF THE DANCE

Prayer of the Day (unison-seated) - Rev. Jeanie Barnes

O God, our Father, creator of this world and giver of all good things: we thank you for our home on earth and for the joy of living. We praise you for your love in Jesus Christ, who came to set things right, who died rejected on the cross and rose triumphant from the dead. Because he lives, we live to praise you: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God forever. Amen.

Solo: “Sonata in D minor” I. Adagio; II. Allegro vivace, Henry Eccles (1670–1742) - Sarah Shellman, violin

Statement of Faith – Apostles Creed (unison-standing) - Jeanie Barnes

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Passing of the Peace

The peace of Christ be with you. / And also with you
