Unison Prayer of Confession - Ginny Ellis
Lord God, your power and love are beyond our imagining. We know that when we fear the future, we are not holding faith in your care. So today, in this place, help us to trust ourselves, those we love, the church, and the world once again to your care. Forgive us the tendency to want to take back control. Help us to give our fears to you, and trust enough to leave them in your hands. May your Spirit fill us with the faith we need each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Assurance of Pardon - Ginny Ellis
Friends in Christ, while it is true that we have all sinned, it is a greater truth that we are forgiven through God’s love poured out in Jesus Christ. To all who humbly seek the mercy of God we say, in Jesus Christ we are forgiven, freed and made whole! Thanks be to God.
Passing of the Peace: Be at peace with God, with yourself, and with one another. The peace of Christ be with you / And also with you.
