Call to Worship (from Joel 2:28-29) - Ginny Ellis
God promised to pour out his spirit on all flesh.
Our sons and daughters would prophesy
Old men would dream dreams and young men see visions,
Even the lowliest would receive the spirit of God.
It was the promise of God that the Spirit would touch us all for God’s glory.
Opening Hymn #761: “Called as Partners in Christ’s Service” BEECHER
Unison Prayer of Confession - Ginny Ellis
Almighty God, forgive us for trust that does not last the night, beliefs that falter when challenged, courage that weakens in trial, hope that flickers in suffering, tempers that go undisciplined, faith that fails to hold on. Forgive us and help us better reflect your strength, promise and love to the world. In Jesus name, Amen.
Assurance of Pardon - Ginny Ellis
If anyone is in Christ, that person becomes a new person altogether. The past is finished and gone. Everything has become fresh and new. Friends, believe the good news of the gospel: in Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
Passing of the Peace - Ginny Ellis
May the peace of Christ be with you / And also with you.

Surely it is God who saves me, I will trust and not be afraid.
For the Lord is my stronghold and my sure defense and God will be my Savior.
