Call to Worship (from Psalm 103) - Ginny Ellis

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless God's holy name.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits—

Our God forgives all your iniquity and heals all your diseases,

Our God redeems your life from the Pit, and crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

The Lord satisfies you with good as long as you live

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Processional Hymn #4: “Holy God, We Praise Your Name” GROSSER GOTT, WIR LOBEN DICH

Unison Prayer of Confession - Ginny Ellis

Lord God, you created beachfront and mountain, valley, river and desert. We imagine you smiling in both sunrise and sunset. Help us to know that you are also present in streets and alleys, in houses and high-rises, for you made people to live in community. Help us learn to love others where we find them, to reach out with open hearts and with compassion, to show your love to all. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Assurance of Pardon - Ginny Ellis

If anyone is in Christ, that person becomes a new person altogether. The past is finished and gone. Everything has become fresh and new. Friends: Believe the good news of the gospel.

In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

Passing of the Peace: May the peace of Christ be with you / And also with you.

Response #71 refrain (sung twice) FIRST SONG

Surely it is God who saves me, I will trust and not be afraid.

For the Lord is my stronghold and my sure defense

and God will be my Savior.
