Call to Worship - Ginny Ellis
It is by grace that we are who we are
People called by Jesus, sometimes like Moses, afraid to follow.
It is by God’s grace that we can become followers
Fearful, yet gifted by God with courage beyond our expectation.
It is with God’s grace that we become who we might yet be
People who step out in faith, generously sharing the good news.
Hymn #697: “Take My Life” HENDON
Call to Reconciliation - Sandi Averitt
It is so simple to say, but difficult to live out! “Do not be afraid! I will be with you.” Yet whatever fear, whatever foolishness, whatever wrong lies on our heart, God’s forgiveness is poured out upon us. I invite you to join me as we pray to the one whose love is constant in every moment.
Unison Prayer of Forgiveness - Sandi Averitt
God of wonder and joy, when we look in the mirror, we do not see holiness reflected back. Though we yearn to be more compassionate, more connected, we are so busy listening to our own thoughts that we have trouble hearing the cries around us, the cries that you hear so clearly. Forgive us, God. You call us, you send us so that we might make a difference for all in this world, in this community, in our own sphere. Help us to bring your comfort, healing and peace to this hurting world. In Jesus wonderful holy name…(We keep silence)
Assurance of Forgiveness - Sandi Averitt
The one who alone is holy, became wholly human so that might see the face of grace. The one who is seated in the heavens endured the cross so that we might see the face of salvation. This is our good news: We are forgiven.
By God’s grace, with God’s grace, we are who we are meant to be: forgiven, restored, called people. Thanks be to God.

Unison Prayer after Communion:
Mighty God, we thank you for gathering us at your table and feeding us with the bread of life. As we now leave this table to go to the many places where you send us, send your Spirit with us, that we may share in your magnificent work: lifting up those who are laid low, showing mercy to all in need of human kindness, and feeding the bodies and hearts of all who are hungry, in the name of one who comes; even Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
