Call to Worship - Ginny Ellis

In the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens,

the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east,

There God put the human being whom God had formed.

Out of the ground the Lord God made to grow

every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food,

the Tree of Life also in the midst of the garden,

and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Statement of Faith – Apostles’ Creed (unison) - Peter Armacost

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

Presentation of our Gifts - Peter Armacost

… Please join me in our unison prayer:

O God, as we come to receive your gifts of bread and cup, we bring gifts for the church to use in your name. These gifts came from your own hand, and we return them to you. Use them, even as you use us, to accomplish your purposes in Jesus Christ, the Head of the church and the Lord of our lives, for we are yours, we ourselves along with all we have. Amen.

Hymn #552:  “Holy, Holy, Holy” LAND OF REST

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest, hosanna in the highest.

…Great is the mystery of faith.

Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again.

Gracious God…All glory and honor are yours, Almighty God, forever and ever. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
