Call to Worship - Ginny Ellis

Praise and glory to you, God our Creator,

You come like the wind of heaven, unseen, unbidden.

Like the flames of dawn, you light up the world around us.

You grant us a new beginning every day.

You warm and comfort us,

You give us courage, fire, and strength beyond our imagining.

Be with us, Holy Spirit, in all we think, do, and say, today and every day. Amen.

Processional Hymn #289: “On Pentecost They Gathered” MUNICH

Call to Reconciliation - Ann Murray

Prayer for Forgiveness - Ann Murray

Almighty God, You poured your spirit upon gathered disciples, creating tongues, open ears, and a new community of faith. Did we confess that we hold back the force of your spirit among us? We do not listen for your word of grace. Speak the good news of your love, or live as a people made one in Christ. Have mercy on us, O God. And transform our timid lives by the power of your spirit. And fill us with a flaming desire to be your faithful people, doing your will for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. In the name of Christ we pray, Amen.

Assurance of Forgiveness - Ann Murray

You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people.

Once we were no people but now we are God's people.

Once we had not received mercy, but now we have received mercy.

Friends, believe the Good News.

In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

Passing the Peace - Ann Murray

…The peace of Christ be with you. / And also with you.
