Unison Prayer of Confession - Kirby Volz

Eternal God, in every age you raise up people to live and die in faith. We confess the times we have been indifferent to your will and been silent when we could have spoken up for justice, peace, and love. We confess the occasions you call us to live faithfully, and we have backed away in fear. In your mercy forgive us. Give us renewed courage to follow your way, that, joined with those from ages past, we may inherit the kingdom you promise in Jesus Christ. Amen. (Please take a moment for silent prayer)

Assurance of Pardon - Kirby Volz

Friends, hear the Good News! The merciful and forgiving love of God is everlasting.

As far as the east is from the west, so far does God remove our sins from us!

Thanks be to God!  In Jesus Christ we are forgiven and made new.

Passing of the Peace - Kirby Volz

May the peace of Christ be with you / And also with you.

Doxology   OLD HUNDREDTH

...forever sing to the glory of your name:

Hymn 552 LAND OF REST

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,

heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

...Great is the mystery of faith: Christ has died. Christ has risen. Christ will come again.

Hear us as we pray aloud together the words that Jesus taught his disciples:

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
