Call to Worship from Psalm 100 - Jeanie Barnes
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God,
It is God who made us, and we belong to God.
We are God’s people,
We are the sheep of God’s pasture.
Come, let us worship the Lord our God!
Hymn #465: “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” CONVERSE
Unison Prayer of Confession - Rev. Ginny Ellis
Lord God, your power and love are beyond our imagining. We know that when we fear the future, we do not hold faith in your providence. So today, in this place, we entrust ourselves, those we love, the church, and the world once again in your care. Forgive us the tendency to want to take control. Help us to give our fears to you and trust enough to leave them there. May your Spirit fill us with the faith we need each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Assurance of Pardon - Ginny Ellis
You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people. Once we were no people but now we are God's People. Once we had not received mercy, but now we have received mercy. Friends, believe the Good News: In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.
Passing of the Peace - Ginny Ellis
The peace of Christ be with you / And also with you
Response #71 FIRST SONG
Surely it is God who saves me, I will trust and not be afraid.
For the Lord is my stronghold and my sure defense and God will be my Savior.

…Please join me in a Prayer of Dedication:
Giver of Life, behind this offering lies the busyness of our world: the office, the home, the classroom, the highways, and the corridors. Save us from creating a world where wealth accumulates and people decay. Accept this offering and our lives, limited as they are, as willing instruments for good in your world. Amen.
