As a hen gathers her brood under her wings, so God desires to gather us together.

Gather us, O God.  We are here to worship and sing your praise!

The Lighting of the Peace Candle and the Passing of the Peace - Ginny Ellis           

Friends, it is good to be together to sing and praise God!  Also it is good that we spend some time praying together, both aloud and in silence. As we light our peace candle, let us pray silently for the peace of the whole world, and for particular people or places, for the stories we’ve heard or read about in the news this week, as well as for any other situation where the peace of Christ is so desperately needed, perhaps even in our own hearts. (a time of silent prayer) May the peace of Christ be with us all. Amen.
