Eternal God. protector of all who put their trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy, grant real peace to this world and to your people. Fill us with your mercy and your grace so that, with your rule and your guidance, we may use the good things of this present life but not neglect those things of eternal worth. We pray through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
