Call to Worship- Ginny Ellis

Give thanks to the Lord, call on God’s holy name;

Make known among the nations what God has done.

Sing to God, sing praise; tell of all God’s wonderful acts.

Glory in God’s holy name;

Taste and see that the Lord is good.

*Processional Hymn #336: “We Gather Together” KREMSER

Call to Reconciliation - Dave Hunt

Unison Prayer of Confession - Dave Hunt

Merciful God, you promise forgiveness and new life, making us part of the body of Christ. Yet we cling to old habits and hold grudges. Remind us of your promise to make us new. Polish our rough edges and forgive us so that we can live as you would have us live. In Jesus’ name.  Amen. (silent prayer)

Assurance of Pardon: Dave Hunt

If anyone is in Christ, that person becomes a new person altogether. The past is finished and gone.

Everything has become fresh and new.

Friends, believe the good news of the gospel.

In Jesus Christ we are forgiven.

The Lighting of the Peace Candle and the Passing of the Peace - Ginny Ellis

…The peace of Christ be with you. / And also with you.

*Response #71: “Surely, It Is God Who Saves Me” (refrain only, sung twice)  FIRST SONG

Moment for All Ages -Ginny Ellis

Moment for Stewardship: Celebrate and Support First Presbyterian Church - Gretchen Letterman

Presentation of our Gifts – Invitation and Prayer - Ann Murray

…Please join me in a unison Prayer of Dedication:

We give thanks, O Lord, for the privilege of receiving.  Now we also give thanks for the privilege of giving.  For while in receiving we are filled, in giving we are fulfilled.  So it is that we give both ourselves and our substance for your glory and service, in the name of Christ, Amen.

Offertory Anthem: “The King of Love,” Jake Runestad (b. 1986) - Chancel Choir

The King of love my Shepherd is, whose goodness fails me never; I nothing lack if I am his and he is mine forever. Where streams of living water flow with gentle care he leads me, and where the verdant pastures grow with heav'nly food he feeds me. In death's dark vale I fear no ill with you, dear Lord, beside me; Your rod and staff my comfort still, Your cross before to guide me. And so through all the length of days Your goodness fails me never: Good Shepherd, may I sing your praise within your house forever.
